Areas of Practice
Outside General Counsel
R|L acts as outside corporate counsel to corporations and businesses needing consistent legal services, yet not wanting to employ full-time, in-house counsel. We set a monthly retainer that works for both clients and the firm, and then handle legal needs. These needs may include, but are not limited to, corporate formation and oversight; intellectual property filings and protection; preparing corporate documents, agreements and memoranda; drafting purchase, licensing and distributor agreements; drafting and overseeing all employment needs including employment agreements, employee handbooks, and confidentiality agreements.
Nonprofit Formation and Management
The forming and management of nonprofit organizations is important to the attorneys at R|L. We handle the filing requirements and oversight for 501(c) entities and all state charitable organizations including churches, and social purpose entities.
Startup Formation and Build Up
Having effective legal counsel at the start-up stages of forming a company is paramount. R|L helps form, build, and expand start-up businesses.
Intellectual Property
Filings, management and protection for trademarks and copyrights.
Real Estate Law and Land Use
Handling land purchases and use including residential and commercial properties.
Employment Law
Oversight of all human resources operations including employment contracts, agreements, employee handbooks, and ensuring the company understands and implements relevant employment laws. It is rare that a company really understands its employment obligations, and Rayburn Law provides counsel on how to do this efficiently and effectively.
Trust and Estate Planning
Drafting and management of all levels of estate planning including wills, trusts, and medical and financial powers of attorney.
